Visit the Summer page for details. - The Sleeping Beauty Congraulations on fantastic performances on June 3rd at the Palace Theater. This year's ballet was magical. We thank our guest artists, choreographer Peter Anastos, and dancers Caitlin Kirschenbaum and Daniel Ulbricht for sharing their talent with our students and audience. Over 1200 school children were spellbound at the morning performance. The evening performance began with a donor reception and ended with a fun cast party for dancers, their families, and friends. - Lower School Performance One hundred and sixty students in our lower school showed families and friends how much they have learned in thier own performance on May 22nd at Hart School. - 13th Annual Chefs on Pointe We held our food and wine benefit Chefs on Pointe in Old Town Hall on April 30th. Thank you to everyone who helped make the event a success including Tawa Indian Cuisine, Shelly's on the River, Barcelona Wine Bar, Tappo Restaurant and Crazy Grapes. Check out some great photos on our Gallery page. - BSS in Venu Magazine In every issue of Venu Magazine, the Cultural Alliance of Fairfield County publishes an article on the arts and culture events featured throughout Fairfield County. Check out the January/February edition, which features the Ballet School of Stamford! - Summer Program Auditions being held at BSS Saturday January 29th The Broadway Experience @ 11am - Mayor Pavia announced $75,000 in Arts grants to 17 city organizations. The Ballet School of Stamford was pleased to receive a grant of $10,000 to support our programming.

We wish them all continue success as they further their education. - Our Weekend Workshops have begun These workshops are designed to offer different dance styles for our students in levels 6, 7, 8 and Upper School. These classes will be held twice a month on Saturdays. The techniques covered will include jazz, street hip-hop, modern and contemporary. The fee for the first five workshops is $50. Register with Renee. Upcoming Weekend Workshops - Elliott Reiland - January 8th Jazz Workshop Elliott Reiland is a Brooklyn based artist and current member of Patricia Norowol Dance Company. He has danced for Korhan Bashan, Darcy Naganuma, Brook Notary, Ronald K. Brown, Sean Curran, Julian Barnett, Jim Sutton, and Deborah Jowitt. He has also appeared in theater works for Horsetrade, Young Blood, and both the Montreal and New York Fringe Festivals. Elliott has taught at First Stage Children's Theater, Ballet School of Stamford, New York's Public School for Dance, Walker Dance in Massachussets, Accent on Dance in Wisconsin, and Boston Ballet. - We've Landed at Town Hall and also in Dance Magazine
