Welcome! The Ballet School of Stamford is a not for profit school that provides professional dance training for children and adults from Fairfield and Westchester counties. The school entering it's tenth year has moved to the Rich Forum at 307 Atlantic Street in downtown Stamford and is pleased to welcome Michael Vernon as our Artistic Director.

Through its relationship with the Stamford Center for the Arts the Ballet School provides unique performance opportunities for its students, with a repetoire ranging from original productions to unforgettable classics.

Our Mission

The purpose of The Ballet School of Stamford is to foster the Art of Ballet. Toward this end, it will undertake the following activities:
  • Offer excellent ballet training to all levels of students
  • Work with other educational institutions to develop outreach programs on ballet
  • Develop a community awareness of the value of dance education
  • Promote and encourage cultural diversity in ballet training
  • Strengthen the connections between visual and performing arts by working with other arts organizations
  • Engage in cultural activities that will enhance the quality of life in Stamford

The Ballet School of Stamford offers exemplary training in classical ballet, and is quickly becoming renowned as one of the most professional schools between Boston and New York City. Students who attend The Ballet School will be adequately prepared for a career in dance.
