Be a Star! Help Create a Star!

The Ballet School of Stamford is proud to announce its Raise the Barre program for capital fund raising to pay for construction for our new studios at the Rich Forum and we need your help.

We are thrilled to welcome Michael Vernon as our Artistic Director. The school's growth in both size and prestige has been phenomenal. The faculty and level of training are considered to be some of the best in the New York area and continue to gain respect throughout the arts community. The school has grown to over 300 students, ages three to eighteen. This summer we offered a six week summer program with guest artist Pilobolus. Performance opportunities have also been increased. We presented a wonderful two act version of Sleeping Beauty, choreographed by Peter Anaston, in 2007 and a three act original production of Coppelia, choreographed by Francis Patrelle, in 2008.

Proper training and rehearsals for productions such as these cannot take place without a proper facility. Our new location provides three new studios with the largest being the black box Leonhardt Studio. With this new level of service for our students comes additional cost. We have spent approximately $130,000 to offer these state of the art studios. We have raised $80,000. Through this new facility, it is our desire to continue to expand the opportunities and enjoyment for our students, your sons and daughters. the school generates its income through tuition, donations and grants. Most grants are dedicated to our outreach and scholarship programs. General operations and faculty salaries rely upon tution and donations. Capital programs have primarily been funded through donations. It is here that we need your help.

Please join our Raise the Barre program. We need you to to contribute to our young aspiring artists, to give them the best facility and training program possible. We will use your donations to further improve their experience with dance and, as always, continue to strive for excellence.

We are proud to be supported by the Connecticut Commission on Culture and Tourism and the Stamford Community Arts Partnership Program.
