DESCRIPTION OF CLASSES, TUITION, & DANCEWEAR REQUIREMENTS

Leveling of students will be determined after taking a placement class. The tuition amounts listed are per semester. There are two semesters per year. The Fall Semester runs from September 10, 2007 through January 28. The Spring semester is in session from January 29 through June 16. Scholarships are available. There is a $35.00 Registration fee to be paid one time a year for children’s classes.

    Pre-Ballet School

  • Creative Movement - 3 and 4 year olds – Introduces preschoolers to rhythm, musicality, and movement. 45 minutes long, once a week ~ $295. Dancewear Requirement: White short sleeve style leotard, Manufacturer ( Bloch CL5402), ballet pink tights, pink ballet shoes with elastics.
  • Pre-Ballet - 4 and 5 year olds - Introducing vocabulary, ballet etiquette, coordinated movement, and musicality. 45 minutes long, once a week ~ $295. Dancewear Requirement: White short sleeve style leotard, Manufacturer ( Bloch CL5402 ), ballet pink tights, pink ballet shoes with elastics. Hair should be in a bun.
  • Primary - 5 year olds - Introduces students to principals of ballet, vocabulary is expanded, focusing on alignment and increased flexibility. 45 minutes long, once a week ~ $295. Dancewear Requirement: Pink Short sleeve style leotard, Manufacturer (Bloch CL5402) , ballet pink tights, pink ballet shoes with elastics. Hair should be in a bun.

    • Lower School

  • A1, A2, A3 - Beginning ballet technique for students age 6. 1 hour class, once a week ~ $330. Dancewear Requirement: Light Blue short Sleeve style leotard, (Bloch CL5402), ballet pink tights, pink ballet shoes with elastics. Hair should be in a bun.
  • B1- Beginning ballet technique for students age 7. 1 hour class, twice a week ~ $650. Dancewear Requirement: Lavender Short Sleeve style leotard, (Bloch CL5402), ballet pink tights, pink ballet shoes with elastics. Hair should be in a bun.
  • B2, B3, B4 - Beginning ballet technique for students age 7. 1 hour class, once a week ~ $330. Dancewear Requirement: Lavender Short Sleeve style leotard, (Bloch CL5402), ballet pink tights, pink ballet shoes with elastics. Hair should be in a bun.
  • C1, C2 – Intermediate level one ballet technique. 1 hour classes, twice a week~ $650. Dancewear Requirement: Royal Short Sleeve style leotard, (Bloch CL5402), ballet pink tights, pink ballet shoes with elastics. Hair should be in a bun.

    • * The reason for a class being in a uniform outfit is to allow the teacher to focus on the child's technique. Students may wear different styles of same color leotard when there is not a guest teacher or a parent viewing class. The closest dancewear shops are Beam & Barre located at 260 Greenwich Avenue in Greenwich, CT (203) 622-0591 and Dancer's Depot at 870 High Ridge Road in Stamford, CT (203) 609-9009.

    TUITION POLICY: There are NO TUITION REFUNDS (except in the case of physical impairment, requiring a doctor's note). A credit will be given upon request. A credit request must be made within 1 month or it will be forfeited. Credits are non-transferable.

    Middle School

  • D1 & D2 - Intermediate level two ballet technique. Twice a week ~ 1.5 hour classes. ~ $975. Dancewear Requirement: Mulberry Tank style leotard, (Bloch CL5405), ballet pink tights, pink ballet shoes with elastics. Hair should be in a bun.
  • E1 - Intermediate level three ballet technique and pointe. 3 times a week. ~ $1,425. Dancewear Requirement: Burgundy tank style leotard (Bloch CL5405), pink ballet tights, pink ballet shoes with elastics. Matching skirts (Mirella S12) can be worn for pointe. Hair should be in a bun.
  • E2 - Intermediate level two ballet technique and pointe. 2 days a week. ~ $975. Dancewear Requirement: Burgundy Tank Sleeve style leotard, (Bloch CL5405), ballet pink tights, pink ballet shoes with elastics. Hair should be in a bun.
  • F1 - Intermediate Advanced Technique & Pointe. ~ 4 days a week. ~ $1,700. Dancewear Requirement: Navy gathered bodice style leotard, (Bloch L5415), ballet pink tights, pink ballet shoes with elastics. Hair should be in a bun.
  • F2 - Intermediate Level Four Ballet Technique. ~ 3 days a week. ~ $1600. Dancewear Requirement: Navy gathered bodice style leotard, (Bloch L5415), ballet pink tights, pink ballet shoes with elastics. Hair should be in a bun.

    • Upper School

  • Upper School - Advanced Intermediate Ballet technique, pointe, character, and modern ~ $1700 ~ 4 days a week. Dancewear Requirement: Black gathered bodice leotard (Bloch L5415) Matching skirts ( Mirella S12) are optional and can be worn for pointe.

    • Supplementary Classes

  • Boys - Beginning Ballet Technique for boys ~ $330 ~ 1 hour; once a week. Dancewear Requirement: Black tights or bike shorts, white leotard, thin white socks and white shoes. Hair should be out of their face.
  • Open Jazz, Theater Dance, or Modern - These classes are open to students who would like to try other techniques.k ~ $325. Dancewear Requirement: Black fitted Jazz pants or pink or black tights, black jazz shoes, any color leotard for girls, white tee shirt for boys..

    • Pre-Professional School

  • Intensive 1 - Advanced Ballet technique, pointe, variations, and alternative technique. 5 times a week ~ $1,800.

ADULT CLASSES

Adult classes are $16 per class or $140 for a ten class card. Cards are good for 4 months. All classes are held on a drop-in basis. No Dancewear Requirements.
